hi. a while back i posted a thread for an idea on a chris reeve poster. somebody suggested that i use the idea of chris getting out of a wheel chair, walking with people amazed, ripping the shirt to reveal the costume, and flying out as supes. although the idea didn't seem original i figured it was possible to execute it in a way that would make it original. what i'm gonna do is make it look like a comic book. panel one will be chris in the chair. in panel two, chris will be running out of the chair, a blur effect will be added and he'll be running out of the panel. panel 3 will be a close up of him ripping open the shirt to reveal a chris reave insignia. panel 4 will show a blue/red blur flying out of a building window toward the city or somethin. and finally in the middle ul see chris as supes flying towards u at super speed and below ul see the CR emblem. text will appear below sayin man of steel. i plan on having all four panels appear with a lighter opacity so the don't dominate the focal point. not all panels will be the same size. the text will appear like the superman text that u see on covers. is this idea kinda good. any suggestions. tips. advice. thanks

by the way, i'm gona try to make it look like the images are comin out of the panels some what like a comic book. i'm sure u guys kinda know what i'm talking bout if u read comics a lot.

that was me that suggested that way, but original or not, it's worth a try. I'm still looking forward to seeing the end result. NOt sure if comic book style panel(s) is the way to go, but it's your project.

sorry pal, ur right, and thanks for the idea. so what do u suggest? is the comic book idea to lame? like it's already been done? if so, do u have any ideas bout how i can approach this ? thanks

honestly, I've been more an idea person that has one idea about something, and then stops there. The creativity just doesn't flow like it used to.

I'm not saying the comic book is overdone or lame, BUT, I think it could be executed in some way on one page. I like the idea of the motion blur type from getting out of the chair or running etc.

As I pointed out originally, I don't remember the original commercial that was referred to, but I do remember hearing or maybe seeing a snippet of Reeves getting up from the chair on some TV show. I gave ideas based on what I would like to see my own brother who has a spinal cord injury, do. Get up and walk from his chair, not actually fly away, but do what we used to do together.

Reeves for all intents and purposes ended up actually being a "Superman", thus it would be great to see this project done.

If I had more ideas, which I obviously don't at this time, I'd be more than happy to provide them. Good luck, and get crackin'. Time's a wastin'. ;)

Mr. Reeves

How about images of a real life looking or photos of Mr. Reeves getting out of the wheel chair on his own and having a comic book style Superman in the forground telling us something like, "Now its time for a real superman" or ..."Theres a real superman"

Good luck,

Lasa
