I was getting the error that my scratch disk was full, and read that I can set it to another drive, besides my computer's main hard drive. So I went out and bought a 1TB hard drive, configured it to the computer and everything, but its not showing as an option in the drop down menu to change the photoshop scratch disk settings. What am I doing wrong? How can I fix this problem?

Changing Scratch Disk

You have probably found the place to change your scratch disk, but just so other people know, you have to go into your general preferences - under performance. There is an option to check off your harddrive for your scratch disk and then uncheck your computer's harddrive.
So: Edit Menu, Preferences, General, Performance, under the scratch disk part :D Hope this answers anyone's questions. (Oh, this is in CS4. I haven't used any other Photoshop so I don't know if it is the same or not.)
