Hi!

I would like to change the flags in the coat of arms of Colombia with another flag. I'm a noob with photoshop, if one of you guys can help me out, that would be very, very nice!

This is the coat of arms of Colombia (2000px, 2000 x 2034):

yes lol i was eating dinner so didnt even look at the drapes lol , good job although still some color showing in the drapes not being critcal

Thanks for your efforts! Ehm, what I exactly want is that the draping flags show the flag below (new version of the flag I mentioned in my first post). So, not only a color change, but a change of flags. Is that possible for someone to do here with photoshop?

Woow, rufinatti! I'm surprised by the great result. How beautiful! You're a pro!

I almost don't dare to ask, but is it also possible to use the sun on the flag below and to turn around the sun 180 degrees, so that the top of the sun will point away from the coat instead of to it?

Also, Why is it you want this done?
We get a lot of people asking this community to do stuff like this, and with little clue as to why they are helping people like you.
It's not a hard question.

Hi! I understand. Maybe sounds a little bit dull, but I created some sort of a fictional country (that's why I created the flag) and I would like to create a coat of arms with the flags in it. It's for fun and a little experimenting, nothing special or important.

I don't have time right now. Perhaps this evening or tomorrow I can fiddle with it some more.

Ok. Here's rev 2. I'm much happier with the way the flags are curving now as well.

Have fun storming the castle.

wow that is a great job , in pretty new but have learnt a fair bit so far , i was just doing this for practice as yours has go all bases covered, please tell me how you done this

my thought process was to color select the blue and turn to green then color select the red and turn to yellow having only 3 stripes , youve taken it a step further to make it look like a real flag very well done

would i be able to look at the psd of this one so i can see what you did

in a nutshell.

1. remove red, blue, and yellow stripes
2. deform new flag with the warp tool (edit > transform > warp)
3. apply layer mask to ensure warped flag fits within the lines

Each differently colored area of the flag was a separate mask and warp evolution. After completing one side, I simply mirrored the flag for the other side. So, altogether, I performed 4 different warp evolutions as outlined above.

I decided to do this project today because it gave me an excuse to play with the warp tool for the first time. Pretty nifty.

Since you are just playing around, here's a clean outline to get you started.

Thank you very much, rufinatti! Wonderful job!

Only thing is that you used the old flag again. I wonder if someone can change the face of the sun on the flags from this one:

into this one:

It is the last thing I needed. You will help me very much with it. The rest is simply beautiful.

At this point, I have provided instructions as to how to do this as well as a clean version of the crest so that it is very easy to apply the new flag. I feel that you should do it yourself.

If you have questions, I am happy to point you in the right direction; but I am not going to do the work for you again.
