Hi,

When you change a fabric or a pattern on an object how do you get the pattern to repeat as it would in real life? For example if I change a fabric on a curtain how do I get the pattern to look as it would in real life so it isnt enlarged or distorted?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Depending on your need, you can TILE THE IMAGE... and this depends whether your pattern can be nicely tiled. If not, you have to prepare it for tiling.

BASICALLY...

Open the pattern image in Photoshop.

double click the background layer to assign it to a layer,

Increase canvas size depending on your preference (x 10 of your present size )

Create layer copies and drag into position within the canvas so to create the continuous repeating pattern.

Flatten image and save as jpg.

Hope this helps.
