Changing background

Hi.

I'm pretty new to photoshopping. I'm trying to change the background of a picture with windy hair. I've tried using the EXTRACT tool, but since the background and hair color are so similar, it's really really difficult to do. I'm going to put it on a plain black backround if that helps or makes things more difficult. LOL

Do you have any suggestions?

Well, then you're out of luck (unless you like really crappy results), especially since it's also a B&W photo and also highly compressed, which results in tons of Jpeg artifacts, especially close to any edges.

That IS my fiance... she does backup modeling for CK. Unforntunetly, since the pictures are property of CK, they wont release the full size photos to us.

Btw, if you still plan to give it a go; try a rough extraction of the hair and painting the hairs back in with a brush or smudge tool, I have been successful with that in some cases.

Haha, yeah I wouldn't believe me either
You don't get it, it has nothing to do with looks, you'll be amazed what you can do with a sexy dress and sexy pose (wanna see Jennifer Love Hewitt running around at home without the artifical polish?). No, it's about you claiming that they said that they wouldn't provide a larger image, I don't believe that. People who are serious about modeling always have a portfolio, even they know that and for them to give the actual model in the photo no more than an over-sized post stamp is just very unbelievable to me.
