Hi everybody!

Is there a way to change the color of clipart to a specific color? When I use Layer Style > Color Overlay the whole elephant gets a new color, but I don´t want to change the color of the ear end eye. And with hue/saturation and color balance I can´t choose a specific color. Is there a solution for this? I´d really appreciate your help! :)

Hello and welcome to PSG.

Just use a Hue and Saturation adjustment layer. I prefer to use the "colorize" feature, but it's not needed.

Yea, I can help with this one. I feel special now, lol.
Personally, I would use the "Color Replacement Tool".

Here's how to use it.

Okay, first, open your image in PS.

Second, in your colour swatch picker, choose the colour you want to use for the body of the elephant, then click okay.

Third, pick the replacement tool, which can be found "hidden" within your paintbrush tool (just click and hold on the paintbrush tool option to make it appear). Then make sure that the options I have are selected.

After that, click on the area of colour you want to change and simply move your mouse around like normal, until all the colour is replaced with the one you want.

This is what usually works best for me. :) Hope it helps.

Cheers,
