Change Side-Folders in "File > Open"

Hey Guys,

I just wondered if it is possible to change the marked section (in the screenshot below) in the file-browser you get through "File > Open".

You guys have any ideas?

I think Photoshop only calls some Windows window in this case, so I do not think there is much to do about it in Photoshop.
 
Yeah that's what I figured too..
I just thought that you could maybe change the browser-type that is called by Photoshop.
The file-browser that for example Paint uses is much handier than the one used by Photoshop.
 
But I am afraid that is created by Paint programmers, so Photoshop programmers would have to do their own, I do not think Windows offer another one.
 
No the one in Paint isn't programmed by Paint-programmers. You can add the same file-browser to your program with e.g. Delphi (self-tested).
