Change default compression type for OpenEXR output.

Hi all,

First time poster here!

I'm not sure if this an issue best solved by modifying actions or by changing the default compression type, but my problem in a nutshell is simply this:

I'm trying to batch convert an image sequence of .pfm files (portable float map) into .exr's (OpenEXR). I record the action for the batch processing and select a compression type different from the default for EXR output but when I run the batch automation it always uses the default compression type which is not useful for my workflow.

Is there anyway around this? Thanks for your time!

"..I record the action for the batch processing and select a compression type different from the default for EXR output..."

That's exactly what I would have done, as well.

I have recorded many actions where I had to set some option and what you tried usually works.

When it doesn't, I have tried toggling back and forth between two different options (while recording the action) and end on the option I want. I can't remember this ever failing me. That being said, I've never recorded an action involving pfm and exr files.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Good luck,

Tom

Thanks so much for your reply Tom! I tried what you suggested a few different ways and unfortunately it still results in the default compression type being used every time... Appreciate you taking the time either way!
