Hi all,
Was Just wondering if it is possible to make PS act like every other program when it comes to undoing history. At the moment it changes back and forth between a single most recent event but I want it to just go back through history til I stop Ctrl+Zing.
Is this a feature that I might like later when I get more experienced? Because right now I would prefer the other way.

Thanks

Hi Sam,

On a mac, you can use OPTION + COMMAND + Z to step backwards through your history.
On a PC it's ALT + CONTROL + Z to step backwards.

You can also use the history panel. Open your history panel by going to WINDOW > HISTORY. You can now view all of the History States since the creation of the document and you can revert back to any state or stage you wish.

You can increase or decrease the number of history states in preferences. Go to your PREFERENCES > PERFORMANCE > Then increase the History States to the desired amount. I use 50.

Just keep in mind the higher you set it, the more strain on your memory, CPU. But honestly, it's not much so it should effect you unless you have an OLD machine.
