Springtime SpecialChallenge:Design a Poster
The deadline for this challenge is Midnight GMT, Saturday, March 30[SUP]th[/SUP]
March is a month with many spring celebrations. The Earth is awakening, snow is melting (in some areas of the world that is), cherry blossoms are opening, people are drinking green beer, basketball teams in the US are doing the March Madness thing, college kids are converging on popular party spots for spring break, people are planting, and others are observing Lent in anticipation of Easter. Except you down-under guys expecting autumn . . .
Some of the holidays are March 17[SUP]th[/SUP], St. Patrick’s Day; March 22[SUP]nd[/SUP], Earth Day; March 20[SUP]th[/SUP], the Spring Solstice or Ostara; March 31[SUP]st[/SUP], Easter Day.
This challenge is to create a poster for an event. Create your own event (for eg: invite the girls over for an Easter Wreath Crafting Party; boys, you come up with your own ideas … tupperware anyone?), make a poster for a real life event in your circle of influence (eg: baby shower for a boy about to be born this month; or maybe you know a pub owner planning a Paddy’s Day event), honor one of the events mentioned above. Just be creative.
I’ve put together a few links. Two of them are for tutorial collections on making posters in Photoshop. The 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] is a more “scholastic” guide for what to use as criteria in designing the elements of a poster.
If you’re having trouble coming up with an idea to spur your imagination, pick a springtime theme based on a quote that is relevant to the season. The rest is up to you and your muse.

Have fun.
Remember, you can edit your image as many times as you like until the end of the challenge. This is better than posting it multiple times. If you have any problems using the attachment manager, PM me and I’ll take care of it.
