Remember back in the day?...Oh I forgot, you young whippersnappers may not get this. Humor me..I'm old, respect your elders. Who remembers the advertising song and who sang it?
I used Topaz Clean on the car after a lot of work on the extraction and clean up and Nik Color EFX Pro4 filters on the town. Painted in parts with Indian Summer filter on layer with Detail Extractor applied. I used PS brush Music by Shanuri (Deviant Art) for the music score. Text was fitted to the warped music by creating a path and then fitting the text to the path in PS. I was aiming to create a stark contrast between old and newer.

If I hadn't had so many computer problems these past two weeks, I would have joined in the fun. My transportation idea was rollerblading legs skating over the Chicago skyline . . . now I'll never know if I could've pulled that off. :mrgreen:

Tracy you are correct with the date, i have no idea why it has been pulled now.
 
OK then . . . I have just moved this to threads on hold. I will PM MikeMc and let him know this was a mistake. I just didn't take a look at the challenge. I actually think he meant it to end today, after 2 weeks, not 3. That's what we discussed. But ... since it was published as the 20th, so be it!

OK, no false starts this time. And a good thing. 5 additional entries in the last week. Good going everyone!

So let me repeat (since this may be lost in the posts), what are your feelings about allowing the creator of the challenge to enter his/her images in the running? Up to now, we've had the OP stay out of the competition, being the winner of the last one, and give others a chance. But it is hard not to recognize the great work the challenge creators make and add to the the thread.

Of course, you know, if Mike like, won 3 in a row, you know, maybe it wouldn't be such a good idea and all, like, ya know :p

Let's hear your opinions.
 
I like it the way we have it.....AND I will never win 2 in a row, much less 3 !!:bustagut:

I think I will start a poll thread to see what everyone thinks that may be missing this discussion.
 
Well guys, I have restored the old poll and put in the votes that previously existed. So if one of those votes was yours, you won't be able to vote now. Thanks for pointing that out Mike. Village Idiot here!

In the process of trying to work this out, I deleted this thread and in restoring it, the images got hidden. I'll try to work this out. In the meantime, however, you should be able to follow the attachment links to see the image. Or you artist people can edit the thread and get your image up. Hoping I can find a solution. Like I said, Village Idiot. But they say, "it takes a village!"

If anyone wants to change their vote now that there are more choices, PM me and I'll edit it for you.
