Wow...Had fun with Mr Marley...But having a new idea is hard for me.....Well I have one!

Reflections !

We see reflections in nature and strive to capture them.

Reflections though do not always occur where you expect or the reflection is not what you thought it would be. I got this idea from Chris's (chrisdesign) Very Feminine Fantasy in the last challenge!

I found some great examples....

Reflections...thats a very challenging subject. My head is spinning already with ideas!
...and thanks Mike for the link to my picture.

Again...

A big congrats for winning the challenge Mike. And this challenge sounds like such fun.

Count my in.

Congrats on the win Mike! This challenge sounds interesting. What to do.

My only question Inkz is, wouldn't their faces be slightly distorted or tilted a bit through the glass? Just asking. Don't know if I would be any good at doing it. Anyway, it's a really cool image!

Me...lol

It's not my work, but yeah I agree lol.

Well as I look back at my image, I see I should have distorted my model to be more convex and follow the contour of the mirror more. Bleh!

Good idea Clare, I made many versions before I posted this one. The distorted faces just looked disfigured, and I wanted to keep the faces pretty as they are. I also didn't want to cover the faces and their expressions with the wineglasses. Finally I settled to the posted version with this "dreamlike quality" seeing through the wine glasses.

Thanks Clare...
...Regards Chris:lol:

Chris, I'm sorry, lol. My question should have been directed to you. I don't know why I thought it was Inkz's pic. Maybe because of the quality and the dreaminess. Good going.

Ok. Took some digging. But I found the one reflection picture I did a few years ago. According to the upload date on Facebook it was back in 2010.

Anyway I found a good tutorial that showed you how to make reflections in water. At the time it was really hard for me to do because they were talking about channels and I have never worked with them. But I powered on through and these are my results. I found a picture of the local historic train depot (which I managed to find again) and decided to flood it again. You see, it flooded back in the 20s so I thought it was appropriate to recreate that. Anyway, here ya go:

After,

Check it out. I still had the tutorial bookmarked. Go here.
