Hello there.
Many moons ago I bought Photoshop 6.0. A few years later I bought the upgrade to CS2.

I have been happily using CS2 ever since. However I have just bought a new Laptop and want to install Photoshop on it. The problem is that I cannot install the CS2 upgrade without first installing PS 6.0 and I can't seem to get 6.0 to install on my Vista Laptop. When I click to install 6.0 nothing happens. If I go to Task Manager and processes the Setup.exe is running but nothing happens.

I tried installing CS2 without 6.0 first and you get the option to validate an earlier version of PS from the older version's CD. When I try to do that it says that it cannot validate the disc.

Anyone else ever had this issue. What can I do? Is there a way to get 6.0 installed on my laptop with Vista?

BTW I tried installing in compatibility mode and as administrator but it does the same.
Many thanks for any help with this.
