Specific Can't finalize graphic for my startup

Hi,

I'm working on open source desktop application in geoscience field and finnally the idea of graphic came up to my mind!

I've tried to draw it by myself but I can't finalize it. It looks very primitive. I have not ever worked in photoshop before yesterday.

If someone is able please help me to make this Earth-coctail tastier and more attractive than it is now
I think the concept idea is obvious and you can edit as you can see it.

I think you design looks great and I do not have much to add.
First, the image is a jpg file so the resolution is limited and I understand you have a more detailed PSD file to work with.
One thing to consider is the having the logo as vector art rather than pixel art. That way it can scale nicely to all sizes.
Not sure about the amount of detail if you use this as a small symbol on a letterhead. You should try different sizes to see how well it works for you.
Typically the logo has the background as transparent so you can overlay it onto any color background.

The image below is just the modified jpg so not the quaility need for you final logo so this is for ideas only.
To simplify visually, I made the umbrella and straws the same color as the yellwo orange drink color.
I also outline the straws with black to make them more visible.
Also, as an example, on the left stray I terminated with an black oval to indicate a round straw tip (may be too small for tha lelve of detail yet at no less of the detail level as the world image on the cup. I did not change the right straw.
With the image below I made the background transparent and saved as a PNG file to preserve that transparency.

This are all minor suggestions and I think you have a great design.

For a Logo I would choose a much simpler design.
I sketched up a rough one just with a black outline.



This would be the printed size on a business card.

@thebestcpu thank you very much for such kind response. I never thought that I can photoshop something that may look nice

I've spend one more day working on this logo and I think I'm done (or almost). I like it even I understand that from the commercial side there is too much details and colors but as this logo should be used with open source project I thought that imaginagion more important than commercial staff

Later I will think somethink about raster world map. Probably I verctorize it later

@chrisdesign thank you! I like the style you designed. I was thinking about something similar and my attempt in that direction finished with the picture below.

But I need to keep the idea that this is geoscience application, oil and gaz industry. Probably I will use my upper attempt
