Hey,

I'm Having a problem changing the color of text, once I have typed it in I go to the text color tab at the top and select the color I want: in this case I wanted #4bd1fc(for the "MAC PRO REFRESH" layer - see screenshot), but the color simply stays black or grey or white, depending on the color chosen, and i have tried most colors.

My Image is not set to greyscale, Im using RGB color , 8/bit channel.
Ive even tried using a color overlay on the text, but that does nothing.

I have attached a screenshot of photoshop.

Please help!

Regards

from the looks of it there is no text selected you need to highlite the text you want to change colour with double click the T in the layer panel to select it all. if all else fails upload your psd so then we can have a look at it and detect the problem easier (same way as you would upload an image just select the psd file instead)

Thanks for the feedback.

The text is/was definatly selected, it even tells me the text is blue when i select it! :mad2:

I have attached another screenshot, as to how I went about changing the colour, just incase a moment of idiocy overcame me.

I have also attached the PDF file.

Regards,
Steve

Ok I think I can see the problem you have a grey overlay adjustment layer try disabling that and it should work will have a look at psd

I cant work out exactly where the problem is probably in your grouping but I have found a work around if you dont want to trace it back delete the text layer you want to change the colour off and create a new layer on top of all the groups so it is top layer and alone and it works just fine with any colour
