Hi guys, i wanted to make a photo that looked like this:
tinie_304.jpg
I took the base photo of my brother with dark background and i color corrected it. Now, i'm desperately trying to do the red and and blue images. Can you help me with some instructions(please be specific, i'm a newbie)? Thanks in advance.

Almost done guys, i really loved your quick help. Just a thing: if you look at the photo i posted, they erased the red/cyan effect to give space to his face. I tried with rubber but it cancels too much and not just the layer. Any advice?

Being a family-oriented site with youngsters around, your image required a bit of editing.....

Unless you intended the colors and lighting this way, your image is kinda dark. If you increase the brightness of the base image and intensity of your colors, the image will liven up a bit.....

I agree, the colorful vibration is hard to see, unless you were going for a subtle effect. But since you asked for tuts or info on how to produce the first effect, I agree with dv8, we can't see the results. It only looks like a color layer or gradient above the person at this point. Sorry to say, I hope you will lighten it up when you get the time. It is a fun project to do.

Don't misunderstand me please. This is critique, not criticism. I am not sure what the image dv8 edited was, but that's probably a good thing. We're a family forum you see, lol. I do like your choice of images.

I appreciate your advices, and i want to say thank you again for the help. But i really don't know why it appears so dark. My brother set it as a profile picture on Facebook and it's waaaay brighter. This makes remember another thing: while saving the image from Ps i noticed that the final result was darker than the original, and i had to struggle a bit to find the compromise. Can someone explain this black magic?
