Could someone Photoshop this for me and kind of give me the run down on what they did? I want to add the green box to my picture so if anyone could help me that would be amazing. Thank you

draw a green box using any shape tool method you wish on its own layer and set blending mode to overlay/soft light

Well we can help. as Hoogle tried to. Does your instructor want you or us to do this assignment, I can use the extra credit soon :bitchslap:

I tried to attempt photo shopping and lets just say my photo would be a disgrace to the program. My attempt the opacity was to high on the green and it looked fake but if the opacity was to low I couldn't see the texture of the background.

Select/Highlight the green rectangle layer.
Click on the blending mode options...

I used Multiply (overlay and soft light works well also) and then lowered the opacity to 85%

No need.

If it looks like this...

It's a shape layer and the blend mode and opacity change will work just fine.

could you send me the finished result? I don't have enough time it is due online in 14 minutes thank you for trying to help

I truly apologize! I can't, in good conscious, do your work for you.

You have had more than enough help and time to get this done. If there's anything I can offer, other than doing it for you, let me know!

We help out but we don't do someone's assignments.

The least you could have done is to follow the instructions given during the past hour and a half and posted what you've achieved so we can correct you and suggest improvements.

You had a good hour and a half to work on this......

This is not me being awkward but exactly are you studying, And if photoshop is part of it which I assume would cover many photography/graphic courses, maybe some rethinking in your studies, this is back to elementary school using microsoft paint to draw a square and fill it with a colour, the only photoshop part of this is changing the layer blending mode in the layers panel.

Step 1 open your image in photoshop

step 2 select the square marquee selection tool 2nd icon down on the toolbar on the left hand side

step 3 create a new layer shift + cntrl + N

step 4 draw the square by clicking and dragging

step 5 select the paint bucket tool the 12th icon down on the main left toolbar

step 6 select a green colour

step 7 click inside the square previously drawn out

step 8 top of layer panel change layer blending mode to multiply/overlay/soft light whichever 1 you prefer the look of

step 9 go to file save as and select the file type you would like to save it as and a name

step 10 upload your image to get your grade from whatever course your doing
