Illustrator Can Someone Help Me/Explain How Too ?

Hi !

I am not in any sense as graphics guru, so please be patient with me.

I am interested in knowing how to get the same result of the following image at the end of this thread. Keep in mind, the image is the left end of a bigger part of the whole.

So here is my question: How can I create a curl/bend/tuck such as the one on the ' Top Left ' of this image?

I have Photoshop and Illustrator at my disposal, I prefer Vector though.

Well, if you prefer vector, draw it with Illustrator. I use a competitive product for vectors, but I would simply create two shapes, the front part and then the curl (which I think would be 1/2 of an ellipse. You would have to work with the fills in order to get the shading right, but it would not be that difficult. Give it a shot and see what you come up with.

If you are trying to make a scroll effect in Illustrator. Just make a simple shape with the pen tool and use the 3D extrude effect.
