@polarwoc you have lightened your subject to the point where there are no blacks. You also have a glowing halo around the subject most noticeable in the thigh areas.......

I hope you understand that I'm not nit picking you! You have awesome potential and you are open to suggestion............you will surpass all of us very soon.

What about the halo around her head? You have the contrast way too light. Open your info panel and examine the darkest areas.........you will see that you have nothing approaching the black point, everything's blue.

By sampling her hair at this point....


This is the color I get......


Her hair should not be blue, at least not at this age!

Thanks again for the continued interest and kind words, @IamSam. I consider it fortune that someone is taking the time out to suggest improvements. So, thank you for that.

I guess I got the blue either from one of the Auto-Adjust options or from reducing contrast drastically. I chose higher value for brightness because the face is within shadows. Now, I have applied the brightness only to the face and also turned its intensity down.
