Can I leave a section of a photo unaltered?

The picture i'm working with is a child in a lime green soccer uniform in front of a green screenn
Didnt know it was green before the shoot, so didnt have much choice for finding an alternative...
Basically when i remove the green screen to add a background, his shirt and socks turn to a yellow.

I was hoping i could leave a section if the picture unaltered so his clothes stay green..
I dont have much experience, which i have a feeling is pretty obvious at this point..
Maybe there is an easier way? please help!:banghead:

Sounds like you need to use a selection tool to isolate the boy from the background.
Post the image here it would be easier to tell if there's a simpler method if we see the image.

Blur the face out if you're uncomfortable with posting it here.

Post an example as Steve suggests, even a part of the image with clothing and background and I am sure we can sort something out about it for you.
