Building a vintage shot...

Shot the original pic with a friend whose style sometimes hearkens back to the early 1900's (lol).
Searched lots of ephemeral media to come up with some good images and this is the end result.

And go with a sepia tone, or deeper grainier effect to add better realism.
It does look like they are all falling into the abyss slightly.
 
Like Paul said I added a sepia tone to the whole thing. Because it's just plain hard to match the look of the current picture with that of the old, I cheated a bit and gave the background a depth of focus blur. Lastly I added a small amount of monochromatic noise to the over all picture.
