hey there gurus!
i'm an amateur photographer and i really started to get into post processing my images in photoshop.
i use adjustment layers and layer masks constantly but i keep running in to the same problem over and over:
many times when i want to accentuate a portrait, i use the curves adjustment layer to darken the background of and image then i use a black brush to delete the adjustment layer in my foreground, i.e. the face...
what i wanna ask is this - (hope you'll understand it) - i usually work with a brush hardness of about 0-5% just to try and be accurate, and an opacity of about 20-30%. this works fine as long as i paint with one stroke, but as soon as i click again, if i brush on an area that i already painted, the effect would add up and it ruins my work. this doesnt happen ofcourse if the opacity is at 100% but i don't wanna work with 100% opacity.
my question is this - how can i "lock" the opacity so no matter how many brush strokes i use, it would always end up to being the same opacity and the effects won't add up?
Thanks.
Gal
