Hello- I scanned a photo with the scanner setting at 600 dpi/ppi and the size set to 4x6 since that is the size of the photograph.
When when viewing the file properties

in Bridge it states:

3600x2400 px
781 kb
72 ppi (shouldn't this be 600?)
dimensions in inches 50x33.3" (shouldn't this be 6x4?)

in Photoshop - Image size

3600x3400 px
resolution 600
size 6x4

why are they different?

Is there a setting in bridge that says to display in 72? I don't use bridge so I'm not sure. But if it displays right in PS I wouldn't really worry about it.

I'm guessing if you were to change the dimensions from 50 to 33.3 at 72 it would be equal to 6x4 at 600.
