3D Bot X

Ayyy... a modeler in the house.

Looking good. How many polygons? pose-able?
Thanks, i haven't checked the numbers yet, but it's pretty low atm. I can pose it manually via rotate/move etc., but i haven't done that "bones" thing yet, i'm still learning the tutorials.

Keep at it. Looks really good. Are you adding more object detail to it or will the details be on the texture?

Would love to see the textured final render.

Cant install 3dmax in my current machine. Am learning the ropes as well. But can use POSER to play with 3d objects and scenes.

I will be adding more object detail, current polygon count is 7546, quite low. Texture plus bump maps will also add more detail. I'll post some updates of it in different poses soon. You use Poser, that's cool, i've never tried that. Organic modeling is hard, i've got some NURBS and spline tuts to try out. Cheers.

My avatar sidekick is done in Poser (pose, camera rigging and lights) ... Final Postwork in PS.

Try foundation3d. They've got great tutes, additional free NURBS and free models to play with or dissect for study. .

100 million square miles, with nothing to kill. Tried adding bump maps with UVW Unwrap, damn difficult with so many planes. Also, compositionally i'm kinda lost,...anyway,...update,...
