Book Cover

So, I was browsing Google images and came across a picture of a road stretching out. It was so pretty. Small though. So I added some elements and made a cover for a book that probably doesnt even exist xD



What do you think?

However, I feel the font used doesn't really go with the cover.

You're right about the positioning, Sam . I had a feeling something seemed off. I lifted it a bit. Better?

Dunno if because am French but with this font I read first: NOW HERE, lol instead of nowhere which is an interesting title btw!

@OP - I'm pretty much in agreement with the previous comments, but I'll add some minor things:

a) To my eye, that seems to be one unusually large animal. I sure wouldn't want to run into him either on foot or in my car. LOL.

b) The geek in my keeps looking at the towers in the background and worrying whether they will fall over. Some of them seem to listing to starboard.

Lol. Thankies. Writing is my hobby. I've been a fanfictioner for a while now and I think I've seen this as the title of a fic. Ive had so many positive comments about the cover.. Thank you all so much for that; it gives my ego an ultimate boost.

Overall I'm really happy with what youu guys had to say about it. I was expecting a lot of ...well, I'm not sure what I was expecting but thank you for being honest.

The word "mate" is also used often in the United Kingdom. I've also heard many americans use it. It's just a word describing a "friend", doesn't really mean too much.

"listing to starboard" is the nautical way of saying that a boat is leaning over to the right (as you look towards the front of the boat).

In the real world, if electric towers like the ones shown in your illustration leaned over that far, there would be a real concern about them falling over and would probably be taken out of service till repaired. You'll often see wooden "telephone poles" in cities tilted by that amount, but never high voltage transmission line towers like these.

Maybe this was intentional, for example, to give a subliminal sense of unease, but as I said, things like this bother geeks. ;-)

PS - In the attached image, to show the angles involved, I drew red lines through the centers of some of your towers. The black lines are perfectly vertical.
