So, I was browsing Google images and came across a picture of a road stretching out. It was so pretty. :) Small though. So I added some elements and made a cover for a book that probably doesnt even exist xD

What do you think?

Hmm...You might be right about that. I'll see what I can do about it :) Thank you.
Btw, I've noticed everyone says mate a lot here. Why so? *curious*

Edit: Nevermind the last part. Most of you here are from the UK. Silly me. :D

Edit: About the book cover, I have a feeling that the upper-left corner is a bit empty. What do you think?

Hey FAF, I like it.

The title font seems fine but the positioning is off for me. I wasn't sure if I liked the horse, but the more I looked at it the more I liked it there. Nice job, keep it up!

You're right about the positioning, Sam :). I had a feeling something seemed off. I lifted it a bit. Better?kkj.jpg

French or not that is a good observation Le Caire:thumbsup:

I do like the overall image you created, for me the font at the bottom needs some work also.

@LeCare - You poisoned me! LOL. Now, I'll never be able to look at that word again without reading it as Now Here.

@OP - I'm pretty much in agreement with the previous comments, but I'll add some minor things:

a) To my eye, that seems to be one unusually large animal. I sure wouldn't want to run into him either on foot or in my car. LOL.

b) The geek in my keeps looking at the towers in the background and worrying whether they will fall over. Some of them seem to listing to starboard.

Tom

Lol. Thankies. Writing is my hobby. I've been a fanfictioner for a while now and I think I've seen this as the title of a fic. :) Ive had so many positive comments about the cover.. Thank you all so much for that; it gives my ego an ultimate boost.

Read some more comments so...

@LeClare Since you've pointed that out, I see it that way too xD evil Claire...

@Paul The positioning?

@Tom Mann Thank you for your opinions, Tom. Come to think of it, the horse does seem a bit huge for its place though I'd like you to explain what you meant about the poles.:)

@Spruce Oh stop it you! You're making me blush...Thankies :)

Overall I'm really happy with what youu guys had to say about it. I was expecting a lot of ...well, I'm not sure what I was expecting but thank you for being honest.

TJM: "...b) The geek in my keeps looking at the towers in the background and worrying whether they will fall over. Some of them seem to listing to starboard. ..."

"listing to starboard" is the nautical way of saying that a boat is leaning over to the right (as you look towards the front of the boat).

In the real world, if electric towers like the ones shown in your illustration leaned over that far, there would be a real concern about them falling over and would probably be taken out of service till repaired. You'll often see wooden "telephone poles" in cities tilted by that amount, but never high voltage transmission line towers like these.

Maybe this was intentional, for example, to give a subliminal sense of unease, but as I said, things like this bother geeks. ;-)

PS - In the attached image, to show the angles involved, I drew red lines through the centers of some of your towers. The black lines are perfectly vertical.
