Bold edge glow effect

Hi guys...need a little help.

I wanna achieve the sorta edge glow effect the model in the attached pic has around the jaw/cheek on the left side of the pic.

Have zoomed in on the area in question in pic 2.

I've manage to figure out how to get a glowy effect in that area but can't get it to be as sharply defined as in the pics attached (mine turn out more feathered)

If you've drawn that "model" I don't understand how you can not figure out how to do that line?Why not do the same thing that you did to the upper lip?

As an artist and based on the over all lighting of this image and the position of her hair on the right side of her head, that highlight should not be there at all! It's more indicative of a strong back lighting which is not present on any other aspect in this image. It's also not consistent with the direction of the ambient lighting.
