Hey guys,

Im new to photoshop and wanted to see what everybody thought about the project I just finished. This is a picture from an iPhone, so not the best clarity. The picture is of me and my girlfriends dog, who naturally has brown eyes. Is there anything else I should do to this photo to make it better?

Thanks!

the eyes doesn't sems to fit with the dogs body as well as enviroment..... BTW nice try

My suggestion : select the eyes and use hue and saturation.colorize and use a dim sade of blue I hope it works :D

Blur the background a bit which would bring both of you into focus a bit. Lower the color tone of dog as it seems too loud (others might have diff. opinion)

Good job on the eyes iDad.

But Gooch, that yellow filter is well . . . bright. IMHO anyway. I think if you take the first one and make the layer of the dog's coat color a different blend mode (duplicate the layer & maybe play with opacities if the color is too pale) like soft light the dog will fit in much better. Of course, I'd use the method iDad used on the eyes. They're perfect. I think colorizing the two items - or leaving the color - works well.

The original photo is rather yellow because of the close light. My goal was to colour pop the dog, and give her eyes a husky, very light blue, nearly white colour. This was also my first time playing with levels, curves, and exposure.
