Hello - bit of a lurker, first time poster. Hopefully I've put this in the right place...

I'm looking for some help. I've been working as a web designer for oooh... a decade or so now, but the companies have all been on the corporate side. I'm now doing something with a lot more variety, which is great, but I'm finding gaps in my Photoshop knowledge, and I want them plugged.

For a project I'm working on at the moment, I'd love to create some Giger-esque style interfaces - I'd post a link, but my postcount isn't high enough to do so I'm afraid. What I'm after is that biomechanical style that you see a lot of in sci-fi or clan websites. Interlinking panels, very industrial. But I'm not sure how to go about doing that. I've spent the majority of this afternoon scouring sites and Google for suggestions on where to begin, but nothing's been what I'm after. A few simple tuts on how to make cables, but I know that already.

So does anyone here have any suggestions on where I can start looking? I really want to get my head around this one, now I have the chance to do something a little less business-y. :)

Hi LittleBlondeGoth, welcome to PSG.

You can upload an example image as an attachment here, even before you can post links. I think it would help to see what you are going for.
