Bevel and Emboss

Hello, I am new to this forum and have a question about Photoshop effects and the abilitiy to create the same quality effects in Illustrator. I am trying to create a logo and would like it to be a vector for quality and sizing. Though Illustartor is capable of many things, I am able to create simple and impressive text effects in Photopshop that I can not seem to get in Illustrator. The effect I am interested in is Bevel and Emboss and how to get the best quality image for a logo that can be used for all purposes at all sizes. they both work, create your logo then bring it over to Ai or vise versa

What do you mean they both work? You can create rasterized text effects in Photoshop right. You can create vector artwork in Illustrator. How do you create the bevel and emboss text effects with Photoshop quality in Illustrator and maintain vector format is what I am trying to figure out.

So if I create artwork in Photoshop and save it. Open it in Illustrator and save as ai. , it will make the pixel graphics, from Photoshop, vector art?
