Hi there.
I'm an IT professional and I know for a fact that memory management of Windows XP has a lot of limitations. Windows XP cannot use properly any RAM larger than 1GB. This is also known for Win 2000. The server versions (ie 2003) do not have that problem. But with Vista, memory management is now better, and I was wondering if anyone has any experience on this. From what I know, in theory I expect PS CS3 to run much better on a machine with 2-4GB of RAM and Vista, in comparison with XP (on the same machine). Generally I prefer XP, but is there is indeed a performance issue with PS, I'll move to Vista asap. Any insight, info, refs is very welcome.
