I'm trying to figure out the best way to re-create the two-strip film process effect like they did in older Technicolor films, but most of you will know this effect from the movie the aviator. I've tried adding and subtracting channels but I can't quite re-create the red-blue effect I can get close, but it never really "pops". Does anyone have any ideas on the best way to achieve this? In my searches I haven't come up with too much about how the effect is actually done.

Here's an example of what I'm talking about:

This might help understand how to re-create the effect too:

Thanks!
