Hello gurus

I would like your expertise with a problem. I need to remove the background image which is visible through a stained glass window and replace it with a soft plain background (simulating an ambient light)

I don't really want to artificially recreate the lead grid design and wondered what's the best technique (masking or otherwise) to preserve this detail? I am considering clone stamp, intelligent fill, masking etc. but first I need to create a source of the grid to use.

Looking for ward to your suggestions

Richard

Hi.

Use the pen tool to create a selection mask of the grills on a new layer. Whenever you need it, just make the layer active and do as you wish... (CTRL+click layer icon to select the grill) ... add adjustment layer effects , layer modes , etc.
