Hello every one, im new to the forums heres but not new to reading it.
I want to give every oen a chance to help and make the new united states marine corps training command logo.

Guidance:
Competition is open to active duty and civilian
No limits on shape and/or color
Avoid cartoon images
Must encompass education symbols that are widely recognized by
military branches of the service
Each FLC may submit 3 design options​

this due by the 5th
and all credit will given to you
if you are interested just leave a message and ill answer any questions​
 
The marine corps is sponsoring this. I am a sgt in the marine corps for the training command. The command is looking for a new logo cause they feel that the one that they have right now is out dated and needs to be improved. So the battalion commander is looking for some logo to pop out and grab the attention and to inspire.
just keep in mind if your logo is chosen it will be made public and it will be around for a long time. coins ,t-shirt signs and medals will be bearing this new logo!

Due by Dec 5 with no real idea of what you want isn't likely to generate much participation but hey, you never know.
 
Its kinda of a last minute thing. thats how the marine coprs works lol you never really get any future word, its kinda on the spot.

If yuo guys do decide to make one to submit let me know so i kinda have an idea of how many will be coming in

Ok I do not want to sound insulting or ignorant but not being American I do not not understand what this is for so I have a few questions so please spare my ignorance.
What is this is it a club like we have things over here called army Cadets, NAvy cadets royal air force cadets which is what I assuming yours is. It is a club where young members can join that have an interest in the MIlitary and this gives a basic idea of what it is like they get to go on training weekends get a military uniform and have fun.

There is also another side of where troublesome kids go to it to learn honour and respect these are usual people that are heading into the legal system been arrested some times etc and this is like a lst stop to try and straighten them out.

Once again I am not being insulting I would just like an idea of what it is for and dont want to just assume I know.

The American flag is that allwed to feature in the logo or is that a political issue where it is open to all cultures and races. Once again I am ignorant to what the uses of the American flag can be used for.

I think you have pretty much said the design is open and we are free to do what we like etc but really some kind of usage will be nice to know I could design something that looks good for say websites but will not be able to be emboided onto a uniform is that an option that it may me embroided or printed on miltary uniforms, printed on a t shirt\sweater or embroided onto a badge that will be sewn onto a uniform.

Why are you limiting it to 3 designs per user often on logo requests if you check out some of them in the freelance section users will submit several designs and then tweak the 1 which the OP likes the best and makes it more suitable fo a request, why not say enter as many designs as you feel you would like to enter that way gives you more choice.

However you answer to my first question could answer this 1 but really what level is this to be seen by is it just in a local club or could it be seen on a government based website, Is your club only open in 1 State or is it just a branch of many all over The USA.
 
Can someone also verify the the MArines are equivelant to the English army so doing a logo with battleships and jhet fighter planes for example would be pointless as it has no meaning to it.
 
Guess I have been watching to many movies where all soldiers get called marines excuse my ingnorance in your millitary so your navy based on ships etc so a warship would be ok.

Ok thanks for the wiki link if I am available tomorrow I will have a go but as you can see any form of Military is not my strong point so once again excuse my ignorance. But now the Nautical compass in your current logo makes sense. I use to be a royal air cadet when I was a kid but I dont remember much from it other than getting to fly a helicopter and a small plane with some parachute jumping. Really though it was for Snobby kids aand was more of a fun club to be apart off.
 
Hoogleman the Marines use Air, Land, and Sea and are pretty much the best of the best (arguably a couple specialized exceptions) that America has to offer. That's why you see the Eagle, the Earth and the Ancor in the logo. If you see it in the Military it pretty much applies to the Marines. They do it all.
 
great input guys and yes, alot of marines are reading these forums. to give you an idea of what training command is; when marines go to boot camp they learn all the mental toughness to be a marine. After they graduate bootcamp they got to ITB ( infantry training battalion) its where they learn how to survive in combat and how to do and use thier skills.
and paul i really like how you blended the wings to the flag. it gives it a really good effect.
