first let me just say i feel out of place among pros. i took a look at a couple of showcases on this forum and MY GOD my mouth is still open. well here goes. as little as i feel right now...
i've been making animations (some of the most basic stuff you'll ever see) and giving them out on youtube.
then later i came up with this w w w.youtube.c o m/watch?v=sdnkLi44O08. (since then i've made tiny changes to color and the fractal noise but the essence remains the same). i've tried as hard as i could to make it modular, so you only drop in text/logo into the 3 placeholders and render the thing. ive used several plugins though i'd like to get away from using. RSMB (reel smart motion blur), and de_damage. right now i'm thinking (that's LOL with my knowledge) about how i can achieve same things with built in tools.
for replacing de_damage i'm sort of picturing in my mind a bunch of rectangular masks, and a bunch or layers, moving side to side or randomly (some sort of position wiggle)...
as for the blur and off set... double up the layer (put it behind the main layer) and maybe throw some CC radial blur or something like that? not really sure here (not to mention CS4 wasnt bundled with CC effects, so giving this project away won't work well)...
not really sure how to approach this therefore i come to pros for a bit of brain-picking any help is appreciated. thanks
