Battle Anyone?

Looking for a friendly competition/battle with someone to be voted on for the winner.

Design battle. We could do a cd cover battle, or a retouch battle....Either or, ground rules would be to use the same photo, so they can be compared side by side. Also a time frame. I'd say a few hours.
And to prevent friendship sack-riding, an explanation from the voter of why they chose that winner. This also helps the losing player to gain more knowledge and critique.

Anyone at home bored and looking for something to do tonight? Lets get this design battle underway.

Little late here for me , but sounds like fun
 
Yeah im up for that sounds like a fantastic idea! Im in Australia so the time frame might need to be exstended to a day or 2 :p let me know the rest of the details. Perhaps some one can gift us an image and a theme, make a new thread and start from there?

I wouldnt mind a 24 hour time frame. We would definitely need someone to supply an image and theme, I didnt want to pick one myself so it's brand new to me as well.
 
I suggest, getting a time frame, one person to supply the image/s, set a theme. And one judge in place before starting so no one says NOW WAIT A DARN MINUTE!.... Something like that could get very popular.. I think your on to something dude!

You've been on here a lot longer than myself, do you mind helping me out with this? Could you have a moderator supply an image and theme? We either need a theme so we can all put our own variation into it, or just a photo retouch on a photo for the best correction.
I'd be glad t do it myself if given a little help. Don't know who to contact or reach out to.
 
I would but I'm not a mod here, to hard to keep order without a wipe if you know what I mean. I suggest you look to one of the mods to help with that I think Paul may like this idea, he may like cracking his wipe now and then. Lol PM him or another I think he may be in a closer time zone
 
i would like if the processes went something like this, just putting it out there :P

:Some one official at PS GURUS takes this on.

:Creates a thread perhaps in the competition section.

:lists the entrants in the topic.

:Creates a start time for the comp, but does not post the details or images of the topic until the start
date/time, and from that time/date we get 24 hours to come up with the entry.

:The two images are then hosted in a different thread for voting where the images are held on
display for a few days letting people vote 1 or 2 depending on what one they like? or alternately
the person whom ever decided to facilitate the comp can individually vote on his/her fav or a panel
of judges can pick.

Thats exactly how it would go. It makes most sense for the people to vote, rather than 1 person, or judges. The more users the better. And it gets them involved. I PM'd Paul the Moderator, we'll see if he's interested.
 
The contest area is the topic forum already,isn't it?

As per the message I sent you, I was hoping you would supply the image and theme. Reason being if I do it myself it could very well just be a photo I did a month ago, or had more time working on. And it looks like iDad, Ultiman and Inkz are going to be in it as well.
 
You guys realize if you want to do battle on a constant basis you should join avatar wars we could always use more fodder:cheesygrin:
 
In the interest of getting this moving to see how it goes, I will create the first topic, supplying the theme and picture, leaving myself out of it. LOOK FOR THE THREAD IN THE "CONTEST" Forum.



Everyone here who was interest I will put in the topic. iDAD vs. ULTIMAN vs. INKZ vs. iBClare

I will give everyone a chance to "check in", then I will supply the photo. 24 hour time limit.
