Hi, I am suppost to go and take some pictures of bathrooms next week and was wondering if you guys have any tips in photoshop or photography that i could use to enhance my bathroom photos. In this picture I adjusted my white balance to indecent lights, I adjusted my levels on the camera's histogram so the picture didn't look too bright, I set my iso sensitivity to about 200, I used aperture priority and set it to about 8, and lastly I focused on the tap that would catch the viewers attention... what else could I have done? Did I do a good job?:pimp::question:

In most of the bathroom photography I see on the web the pictures are enhanced with naked girls taking self shots. However, your photo is very nice, good job.

I think you did a good job with the enhancements (though I am wondering what is "indecent lights?" unless it is something Adobe developed specifically for bathroom and bedroom photography?)

I do think, however, that the shot seems claustrophobic. I know it isn't always easy to get a "panoramic" view of a bathroom, but this one feel very close and cutoff. If you make the view larger and show more of the room, I think that would be better. Then shots like this or more closeup could be detail shots.

The lighting is pretty good. It feels warm and inviting. I agree with Clare, although it's super hard to get wide shots in tight spaces like that. Otherwise looks great, though!

See what you think. What you could have done to help it is move that towel to cover the p-trap below the sink, and make that towel hang perfect. And get rid of the toothbrush. Also, I tugged on the bottom corners to make the vertical lines more.. vertical. And I cropped off the top fragment of artwork on the wall. I also sharpened it 2 pixels using the high pass filter to try to bring out the grain of the sink basin.

But getting your lines vertical using Edit-Transform-Warp is critical to me, anyway. What do you think?

I like it...and I think way outside a few boxes....I would shoot the same shot 1 foot higher and 1 foot lower...and 3 shot bursts over/under/normal...Now I have a lot more image to work with...since PS is now so good at stacking and aligning, I would end up with at least a couple of HDR shots...lotsa sparkle and contrast, and a few more "normal" shots...Tall and skinny...

The one thing that made me think tall and skinny is your toilet....I keep sliding off it......Try wrap around narrow bands and long....just a different look to break up the bath
