Hello!

Example: I have original files structure like:

FOLDER 1:
1.jpg
2.jpg
3.jpg

FOLDER 2:
1.jpg
2.jpg
3.jpg

The goal is to create edited (resized black/white) COPY of each file in each folder without resaving original file. So it must look like:

FOLDER 1:
1.jpg
1 copy.jpg
2.jpg
2 copy.jpg
3.jpg
3 copy.jpg

Folder 2:
1.jpg
1 copy.jpg
2.jpg
2 copy.jpg
3.jpg
3 copy.jpg

-- I can write without problems Action for each special folder, but it take too many time to make 1000 Actions like 1000 folders I have. The problem is in SAVE AS command wich I use in Action. It remembers folder witch was used while recording. Then if I try "Override SAVE AS" option in the Batch window I get edited original files without creatig copies.

I can choose destination NONE, SAVE AND CLOSE, FOLDER. Simply, what I need is SAVE AS COPY AND CLOSE.

Can't you help?

p.s. sorry for my English.

You can use "Picture Processor" to do this...
Thank you for your advice. I tried the "Image proceccor" but goal is not reached. Image Processor don't allow save as copy in same folder. It has option Save in same folder but what the option do is actually creating folder JPEG in original folder and saving edited files there with same name.

You can tick "Save Files to Exising Folder", "Process Sub-Folders"
and select Filename Options "Document Name with suffix"

The suffix being " copy" in your case.

Can't understand what I'm doing wrong, but it simply doesn't work. I check "Use Folder", "Save files to existing folder", "Process sub folders", then I browse my source folder, I leave Output field empty, check "Run action" and choose my action, then check FileName options, in Save Options check JPG 10 and press PROCESS. The script window closes and nothing happens. I have CS4 by the way...
