hi guys
i have decided not to post photo questions here, i have joined another forum, one dealing in photography, and they have their own photoshop 'pro's ' there, but many thanks for all the help i have already received.
Now, what i need from the 'arty' guys from this forum is, a Banner. I need it to say:

Stevannie's Studios
Excellent Painted Miniatures for the discerning wargamer.? It also need to be re-scaleable, as sometimes i may a have to use a small? sign.

i dont care what font is used, i dont care how it is put together, but i suppose you have all heard of Games Workshop, and the battles they have there, well i paint mini models for sale on ebay (dont sell much though) hence that is why i would like to jazz it up a bit, and make it look more proffessional.
I have put a couple of pictures up here http://sbeard1.photosite.com/PaintedMinis/?page=1
these are some of my painted stuff, and you could use pieces of them to enhance the banner.
So, anyone up for an arty challenge.
call back later
steve

Hi Steve,

I could help you out with an example from which you can develop your own ideas, though it would look better if you could provide some of your miniatures' photos with lower compression. At present the ones on the link provided has a lot of artifacts, making it difficult to use them in creating a good looking banner.

hi doodad
that sounds just great, what sort of size would you like, i dont really need that many on the banner, but i would like the Stevannie/ Studio to look a bit flashy, maybe a sword or something through the 'S' .
where do you want me to send them.

Hi Steve,
Sorry for the late reply. This is what I had in mind myself - the tartan background since it's there's a celtic type of theme in the miniatures and the miniature with the sword as a sort of underline to the wording. The white edging might not be to your liking - but it helps to make the lettering stand out. I created it with the purpose of a "web banner" in mind - not as a logo - with that it's better to create a vector shape with only a few set colours - that would make it easier to use it in print, and size as you want.

This are two I came up with using a bit of Blender 3D intervention. The smaller image with the sword through the "S" is completely done with Blender - though I did crop it in Photoshop! (sorry)

Ok, admittedly those last two were quite crappy, so I tried my hand at Blender some more (and I'm afraid my lack of talent extends to 3D too :P).

Texturing and some post work done in Photoshop of course.
