Hi,

I am new to photoshop and have designed a logo using a template. I've managed, through info on other forums and blogs, to creat a logo with clear back ground so that i can use the same logo as a seal type logo.

My issue is, even though when I am in photoshop the background doesn't appear to be there when I use the logo outside the software it has a white background. How do I get rid of it?

Thanks in advance.....

Jase

Hi Jase, you need to make sure you are saving the logo to a format that allows transparency. GIF, PNG 8, and PNG 24 all allow transparency, plus others. Some formats will convert transparency to white, like Jpeg. So my first question would be what format are you saving the file to and which programs are you using outside of Photoshop to view the logo?

And do you use a format supporting transparency? Do you save as PNG, for example, and not JPG? Maybe this question is too stupid, but this is my first idea...
