I've been using Photoshop for several years, and I've never had this issue before.

I must have clicked some button somewhere, but now when I launch Photoshop CS5, the program is no longer free to drag around my monitors. WHen I open the program, the background (not layer-speak....but the surface which has all the tools, etc.) grid automatically locks itself in the upper left hand corner of my monitor.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

try ps preference >interface> enable floating document widows
make sure its checked

changes will take effect after restart of Ps

I did this, and it still is locked into the upper left hand corner.

What do you think?

I'm not sure I understand what you mean. A screenshot might help.

Are you referring to the ability to drag the entire application window around... as in when you maximize/restore the window? Are you using Windows or Mac?

Yes. I am referring to the ability to drag the entire application window around.
I'm on a Mac.

Thanks for your help.

What happens when you click the Maximize/Restore button on the apps toolbar?

Unless he can't click it coz it's out of the monitor view field. But can that happen??? If it is, No way he can right click>MOVE either.

I can't find a way to attach a screenshot to these replies.
