background img help

hello im new to pse 10 .....well, i use the background eraser tool to erase the white background so that it will be transparent then i save it in png format but when i upload it then copy and paste the img url into my website editor the image still retains the white background img ....any1 know what im doing wrong??!!

does the website accept transparant pngs I assume it is transparant on your computer

also the image may be transparant on the site but there image background colour may be white

if there site is like here we can only see png transparancy upto 700 pxs anything over that size displays with a white background until you save it

i am creating the image and i did the code for the website but i am pretty sure i did the image right so that it will be transparent for the background but the background of the image still shows up

instead of saving it as a png try going to save for web device and preserve transparancy

i have savded it as a gif and as a png and also have saved it for web and devices but still the image keeps automatically adding a white background after i spent so much time editing the image so that the background will be and stay transparent ..i have photoshop elements 10 ........does any1 have any help to offer i am so completety lost
