My Brother, took several photos of his daughter in her prom night dress etc, he borrowed some lighting etc from me, he set a green screen material behind her, but couldn't get it tight enough, plus I feel he had too much light coming from one side.

Many of the 30 or so photograph's I feel I can revamp etc, but one problem I cannot seem to get round, so asking you guy's the experts for help and advice. I don't know the correct term for this problem,

The green background is picked up in his daughter's hear and really want to know the best of removing it or changing the tone of it to match her colour.

The example has been reduced in size for forum use, I have cleaned the background using quick mask and low % fills, I have backgrounds already to go on the images. but this green hue is killing me.

All i did was change the background colour, with some work it can be saved.
1 Minutes worth.

1. Just made a selection around the girl, put her onto another layer.

2. Created a new layer ontop and changed the blending mode to colour. I used the colour picker to pick colours of the girls hair and paint over the green.

3. Cleaned up the areas the mask missed with the clone brush.

4. Added drop shadow etc for effect. (optional)

Obviously with a little more care and adding more colours to the hairs & making a nice mask - it would look a lot better. :-)

Hope this helped.

P.S I can give you the .PSD file which has the layers in if you wish.

I used the Pen tool to select only the Green hairs and made a layer...

Used Hue/Saturation and gave it the desired tint..

Played with the brightness and contrast a bit..

then changed the Blending mode to COLOR.

Here' how she looks..

PSD attached along as well..
