Hey Good Day everyone, I really hope you will be able to help me out.
I have 2 questions.
1. How can I achieve the same background as shown in the image on Photoshop (perhaps with "gradient overlay Photoshop") ?
2. How can I achieve accurate shadow as shown in the picture?

We can't help till we know what you are starting with. Can you pls. post a typical starting image?

PS - A couple of questions:

1. Do you want the vignetting effect? It's a matter of taste. I don't like it - some people might.

2. I hope you realize that it's vastly preferable to do such effects in camera, ie, using appropriate lighting and a suitable background that might need only minor corrections. This is even more true if you are cranking out pix like this one after the other.

DSC_0406.jpgkind of of vignetting effect... I know that there nothing more perfect than actual background and right lighting. i really wonder how i can create this type of background in PS. also how to do the overlay shadow - Thank you!

A good tutorial for realistic shadows is here:
http://www.photoshopessentials.com/photo-effects/cast-shadow/

However, IMHO, it would be somewhat difficult to use this (very standard) technique on either of the two images that you posted because the baby is sitting on a surface that looks nothing like a solid surface that would show shadows well. It's brighter and very soft. It's either a piece of transparent plastic or has been made to look that way in PP.

HTH,

Tom

For the shadowns on the background you can just place a background collor and use a darker collor and Gradient toll. To creat the baby shadow you can just follow the tutorial.
