Hey guys,

I have come to improve on my photoshoping and who better to learn from then from the photoshop gurus. I am currently pretty decent in the web developer scene code wise just my photoshop web skills suck and needs some major help from the basics up. Tell me where i should start??

Thanks guys looking forward to getting into the deep of it all.

Pommie in Perth, good here (gurus), what you into shop wise or just in for the learning curve?

Perth yet to visit there, hope they pick up a league team soon and i may just visit.

Yeah more learning at this point i have the skills for some web development jobs but i need the photoshoping to cross the line and for my own satisfaction really add to the portfolio.

How about yourself work or pleasure?

Work i drive big rigs up and down the coast, when my foots better lol (long story).
Photoshop love it to bits and just a hobby - drop the word 'just'...

Big Rigs :O thats a tough job but i hear you guys get paid well so why not. Yeah i broke an ankle a few years back and tell you not much to do when your stuck in one place unless you have a hobby ;) you will have to fill me in on the story sometime haha.

welcome welcome to the forum :)

A good start for PS, I think by finding this forum you came to the right place to begin with.
Feel free to browse around or ask questions and perhaps post some images or results you're working on.

I found that getting to know the tools first and what they are for, was a good way for me to learn PS.

Anyway, have fun on the forum.

Yeah i will definitely do that, i am in the midst of learning the tools well some of them. What are your favorites that i should check out?

The Pen tool would be one you should learn if you haven't yet, it's just an amazing tool that helped me for many things.
I thought the Slice tool would be helpfull for most web developers.
Smudge tool, Burn tool and Dodge tool you can use for realy endless purposes ( actualy like all of the tools).
The use of short-cuts on the keyboard also gives a lot of benefits.

So these are only a few tools but they are good one you can start with. I was trying to find a guy on youtube who discribes the basic tools but I can't find him at the moment.... will post his link if I find it.

Dreamers.....
