I am still new and would like to show you guys one of my works:View attachment AV.psd

P.S: This is for the admins:sorry about goin to the freelance section all the time, i just dont know how to tell if its in the freelance section or not .

I deduce you must be selecting forum threads to view from LATEST POSTS .....

Which ever way you view new posts and select posts for viewing, keep an eye on this part of the PSG page on your browser when it loaded...

Forum.jpg

It will tell you the location of the thread in the forum....

alekseybc, why don't you try posting jpegs instead of psds. A lot of people won't or can't open them so you won't be able to share your work. Just sayin ...

Something you did to practice blending options on, Yes. Is it art? I know art can be subjective, but unless you're super talented on Photoshop, and did that ironically, then I think art it is not! There goes another bit of time I can't get back.

With no explanation on how and what you were trying to achieve when you did this, there is no way of any of us giving you helpfull advice on how to improve.

Well actually I posted this for 2 reasons, one is so that people can see the TYPE of style I work with, and two, to appologize to the admins. So if you have nothing good to say dont say it.

all of this was to show people my style of art, and to apologize about the freelance stuff, not to be criticized

Hey guys. I would love it if you would get rid of the "thank you for posting, your post will be visible after a moderator has seen you post". I dont want to cause any trouble, but I need to post things fast because I am a rushed person. Thanks.

unfortunately that's the way the world works, you either sit there and cry; and learn nothing...or suck it up and take it in. your choice.

i used to feel the same but I'm a little easier on that subject when posting work up in this board these days... I hope... clare?

If you put work up on the net, you have to prepare for the brutality in which people may comment on the work, you may get the kind people, who provide an honest comment in a friendly manner...
or you may get the outspoken and honest who will just say it as it is, which is just as useful but people can be taken aback by it.

either way, if they told you something in there that could prove useful, as spruce was getting with the "what you are trying to achieve" bit mostly then they are simply trying to help you along.

Oh why are so many threads turning bitter lately

That thank you is a security check to verify you are who you are and really if time is that precious for the 3 seconds it takes to refresh and redirect you back to thread thats an issue even though you have made what 5 posts in 25 mins you could have saved time by thinking about what you wanted to say and making 1 post. a jpg can save upto a miniute rather than a psd to upload.

Time management is the key here planning and thinking ahead and I am sure you will gain back those 3 second sooner rather than later.

my fault again???

No Zee, not yours. Don't internalize that one girl! Yeah, you are a great deal less sensitive, but you're also right. We have all kinds of people who comment and they have all kinds of styles.

Aleksey, we a discussion and help forum. If you post artwork, you may as well expect comments. It's what we do, help each other improve and discover our strengths and weaknesses. Sprucemagoo is not mean. What he said is an honest opinion and your work will be scrutinized unless you intend only to show it to pandering friends. I am not being mean either. This is just the way it is. IMO.

And hoogle is right. If you are so rushed, why make so many posts? I suggested you post a jpeg but you didn't. Now you have heard the opinion of one person who took the time to download the psd, rather than have many members post a comment because the jpeg image was right there. Your choice. Your consequences.

You're quite young, 13 is it? Don't expect to exhibit mastery yet. Keep up the good work and use the forum for learning and enjoyment.

Thanks clare for your suggestions, I keep trying to post jpeg, but it doesnt seem to work . Oh well thank AGAIN and I will keep trying.

mastering the techniques of digital softwares and being a digital artist takes years of trial and error, years of looking at different styles....years of experience, is a long way but in the end it pays off
Keep going and dont give up, we all started the same... I started like that, hell even at 13 years old I wasnt using the internet at all yet... I discovered photoshop when I was 15 years old and the first thing I did when I opened up PS was changing a color image into black and white and at that time I didnt even knew how I made that...I was just pushing buttons.... ( now I know that I was just messing with the alpha channels)
Good luck and dont give up...

I'm sorry if I sounded harsh, as this was not my intention. To try and be a bit more tactful if at all possible for me, I think it would be good for you to try and think of a picture/image that you want to create (like a poster for a film you like for example) before you begin, rather than just playing with blending options, so you end up with something that looks like you have thought about the composition of the piece.

There are a tonne of really good tutorials on YouTube which have helped me a lot when I first started. It is very easy to try and start learning how to use Photoshop, and want to be the best straight away, so you don't bother learning beginner skills. If you take the time to learn the boring stuff, the more complicated thing will be so much more easy later on. If you are stuck with anything, we are here to help.

There was no such thing as Photoshop when a lot of us here were your age.
