Art to photoshop

Hello Guys,

Recently I fell in love with the work of an artist called Kuin Heuff. I was wondering if it was possible to recreate this effect in Photoshop.

Maybe someone knows how to do this. Any help would be appreciated.

These are manually drawn "portraits," not digital creations. Mimicing this in PS will never create a perfect imitation. In fact, I can't think of much that would do it justice. Perhaps to create leaf patterns or textures and use displacement masks on a base of a face turned into a line drawing (there a few techniques -- filters,levels, etc. -- to isolate edges) might give some approximation. But you are still going to need to do some drawing I guess, depending on how closely you want one to resemble the other. But it is fun to try things out in Photoshop and share your results.
