Arma 3 wallpaper, desperately needs some ideas

just trying to make a custom wallpaper, and I just can't get those juices flowing for some reason...

This is what I have so far.

Any sensible suggestions?

generally going for a clean-ish look, but not bold, but I'm open to suggestions

Maybe put a punch of color back in. The total b&w effect to me just looks kind of blurry/muddy. Or give the gradient more contrast and keep a bit more detail in the soldier?

Add a muzzle flash to the b/w to add a bit of color.

i will, i've borrowed one of the Wacom Bamboos from college for two weeks, so you'll be seeing this resolved and possibly a few other works

I would suggest maybe a more vibrant color scheme in place of the b/w and perhaps even adding a little texture could work
