Hi guys

So as you may guess, any time I try a 3D function in CS4 or 5 PS stops working.

It used to work fine, so I can't figure out what the problem is.

I have updated PS and just got the latest driver for my graphics card.

System specs: Win 7 Home basic 32 , 2GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 7100 / NVIDIA nForce 630i graphics card.

OpenGL Drawing is enabled.

Is there some setting either within PS or windows that I may have inadvertantly changed which is causing this?

Would really appreciate any help with this annoying problem.

Thanks for reading!

Have you tried reverting back to your old graphics driver? If that doesn't work how about reverting the PS update?

Thanks for the reply RT,

I only did the PS and driver updates after exhausting all other options. As far as I know I haven't changed anything between when 3D was working and when it stopped working.

Cheers

Have you tried resetting your Photoshop preferences file? If that doesn't work and you're on a windows machine, I would do a system restore to the point you knew it worked.

RT you LEGEND!!! I deleted the settings file, and it was a bit touch and go for a while, PS crashed everytime I tried to create a new file, but I mucked around with it a bit, and now it's working 100% AND 3D is rocking it too.

You sir, rock :)

Thanks a mil!

Shit!!!!!! that was a fluke :(

Crashes as soon as I try to open a file! wtf?

I don't even know how to roll back to on system restore as it may have been as long as 2 years since I last tried PS 3D!

Bloody hell....

You only have 2gb of RAM.... and I suspect your scratch disk is your issue....More RAM will make a huge difference, and you need to increase or move your scratch disk....or it will crash
