Im interested in building up my portfolio so im happy to undertake small website projects for a little $$ or nothing at all. If you would like a new website or a redesign plz post in this thread and then we can discuss further. Thanks EZ

I'm asking you the same question that you asked 101jinx101; "do you have anything to show"? :)

yes i do, but i havent got time to post it atm but i will post later. And did you have a problem with me asking him that?

Be careful when doing this. I did this just before I graduated to build up a coupel of pieces for my portfolio and it didn't work out so well. I had one person in particular that I had put a lot of time into the layout on and did a relaly nice one for him, but then he never got around to actually making the site.... made it kind of hard to link to in a portfolio and I had spent a lot of time on it because I wanted a good piece to put in there.

Of course, the folks around here are all pretty good, but a word of warning, no les, since I've seen this posted elsewhere as well. :)

thanks alot for the advice kelli, i hope ppl wont be like that for me :)

Heres a couple of sites which i havent bothered developing cos i dono what to put on them lol.

so does anyone want a site :S i really wanna build up my portfolio and surely a free site is something to jump for?

Do you have a website for people to review???
Just a thought, its probably easier for people to see work to date.

cheers

MI5 I would suggest getting some free hosting and put up a portfolio there. We can see that you have made the psd file but can you slice it and code it? Until people see that you can actually make a site function you are going to have a hard time getting any work, free or paying.

:D

ok, ill get an online portfolio up, it will be small cos i never really done much, and thats why i wanna do free stuff to build one up.

www.ez-fx.net is my personal one but i havent got anythign on it
www.ez-fx.net/clouds is one with a bit more content but i dont realyl like it lol so im replacing it with one i been workin on today.. well yesterday..
theres a screen of it but to prove i can code it ill get it up at ez-fx.net in the near future

yip- lindaw, hit it on the head - thats exactly the direction I was going

plus, it's obvious your eager MI5 - another point of interest is to focus that eagerness into your own site. Plan it out and stick with it. Design it for you so that it displays who you are and what services you can provide. have an area for your profile, templates and graphic playground. Show people how well rounded you are through this site the viewer can see for themselves your professional profile and would have no hesitation in requesting your services.

Again, more importantly, finish your site. It will be for the better.

best of luck with it

*works on site*

works - ie - anything worth showcasing - surely you play around with design (as you have been posting) or doodle with digital art or the likes... Put your best up there to show your audiance your dynamics....

If you don't, how else do you expect people to take you seriously.

Plus whats your design background - Schooling, self taught??? Whats your expertise??? Photoshop, Illustrator??? and so on!

Zone in on whats important and get it up there.
