Hi,

Can anyone recognise the font used on the numerals only of the scoreboard image?

I have looked for the same font, if there is such a thing!

Thanks in advance

Darrell....

For a guess it looks like it's from the Avant Garde Family. [shhh]

I'm thinking Gill Sans Bold

Yes, you're right kirradog, but that's as close as I can think of. Very possibly custom.

Sorry but "Morgan PS Black" is a square looking font so that wouldnt be it and as for "TX Manifesto" the upper case letter A in Manifesto is square at the top. where this font we are looking for the upper case letter A is sharp.

And as for the it being a custom font SCync. I dont think you would use a custom font for a cricket score board it would be more likely to be a standard font.

Starting to bug me now i will have a look for it, but if i was a betting man i would still say Avant Garde. \:]

I wasn't referring to the letters. The font in question is for the numerals only, and is a different one from the lettering. The '7' and the '4' are almost a dead match for TX Manifesto, but the letters aren't either of them.

I don't believe it is a recognizable 'modern' font. Sign makers often created their own fonts by modifying other existing fonts, generally not improving on the originals. The only font I know which has a simple vertical bold line for a 1 is Gill Sans Bold but the rest of the numbers are off. Also note that the type face of the club name is different that the larger type. I will say that whomever designed the sign made an incredibly legible type face for distance viewing.

I don't have anything very close to this installed. But i'm going to guess by the design of the 4 specifically, that this is a older font. So if you go looking for it i'd keep that in mind.

PS: i'm afraid i don't the time to scan my entire 5000+ font collection for this. 8[

http://www.myfonts.com
has a search facility where you can upload an image for it to identify.

I think it's a custom drawn letter. And with it mentioning Cricket, it must be based on an English typeface and not a modern one at that.
